12 Tips for Styling your Bridesmaids in Blush

  1. Don’t over do the blush.

Too much pink is never a good thing and takes away from the elegance that blush is all about. If you have a large bridal party, add in some neutral shades for balance..

  2. Use different shades of blush.

Mix up your bridesmaids dresses. The color blush can be a variety of shades ranging from a very light pale pink to a more neutral darker blush. Mixing the shades up can a beautiful way to create a fun and stylish wedding party.

  3. Sparkles.

Who doesn’t love sparkles? Add in a little bling - your bridesmaids will thank you.

  4. Let bridesmaids choose.

Every bridesmaid is different and has their own style that they feel most comfortable in. Give your bridesmaids a few dress styles in the right shades of blush to choose from and then let them pick the dress that they like best. If your bridesmaids feel beautiful, they’ll carry the dress with confidence and a fun and confident wedding party is e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g !

  5. Mix up the order.

When creating your wedding party line up, mix up the shades so that the pinker blush dresses are broken up by some of the neutral shades.

  6. Sheer is sexy.

Sheer bridesmaids dresses are sexy. They drape your body in a way that other fabrics don’t. They also compliment every body-type.

  7. Neutral and comfy shoes.

Blush bridesmaids dresses call for simple and neutral colored shoes. Think ivory or shades of beige. Make sure they’re comfortable too. Nobody has any fun with blisters.

  8. Make sure the fabrics match.

Mixing and matching shades of blush is fine, but mixing fabrics is a definite no-no. Keep the fabrics matching to create a bridal party that feels unified. Groomsmen not included.

  9. Add matching jewelry.

A variety of bridesmaid dresses doesn’t mean everything can’t match. Gift your best gal-pals with matching simple earrings or bracelets to bring it all together. Plus who doesn’t love new jewelry?

  10. Flowers don’t have to be pink.

Brides who love pink usually want their bouquets to be all pink too. We think keeping the florals mostly white with just an occasional blush tone is ideal. Or just skip the pink flowers all together. Instead consider simple white florals with lots of greenery - a perfect compliment to blush.

  11. Natural make-up.

Natural make-up is essential to complimenting light pink, blush and more neutral toned bridesmaids dresses. Ask your makeup artist for a more natural make-up style which to go perfectly with the shades of sheer pink.

  12. Bride should stand out in all-white.

The bride should steal the show in all white and have a larger bouquet then her bridesmaids. Bridesmaids in blush and neutral tones will highlight the bride and that is exactly what we want. It’s your day - be fabulous!
