ho’omaluhia - Florals and Decor
There are lots of options on how you can personalize your Paradise Cove wedding. Please take some time to look over this page in detail before filling out the “Florals & Decor Questionnaire”. Also, don’t worry about completing this step until your planner has asked you to.
Options to Personalize your botanical garden wedding Ceremony …
1. Add Aisle Flowers:
Adding in some bright colored florals in the aisle can be really pretty against all the greenery. We can do a white or purple orchid aisle.
2. Add a Bouquet & Boutonnieres. A bridal bouquet and bouquets for her bridesmaids plus boutonnieres for all the men is a pretty way to dress up your wedding ceremony. We can have our florist design the bouquet to match any inspiration photo. Prices will vary depending on the type of florals, size and design. We will get you a custom quote.
3. Add a Haku Lei for the bride, bridesmaids and flower girls - or just the bride! A Haku Lei is a handmade floral head lei designed by the florist to match the bouquet(s). See sample photos below for inspiration. Cost will vary depending on the size, type of florals and design.
4. Wrist Corsages for moms and grandmothers. A wrist corsage is a custom floral piece designed to tie onto the wrist with a ribbon. Mothers and grandmothers usually love these. I don’t have any sample photos but they’re really pretty and designed to match the bridal bouquet.
5. Altar Florals Unfortunately arches and altars are not allowed at the botanical gardens, nothing can be staked into the ground. We can however do large floral backdrop pieces if you’d like to add in something special. Ideas and samples below.
* Please fill out the Floral Decor Questionnaire form below if you are interested in adding any additional wedding florals because the florist does book up quickly. Once the form is filled out and submitted we will work with the florist to get you a custom quote. You can decide what you do and do not want once you receive the custom floral quote.
** Already included (at no cost) are a bride and groom lei and tossing petals (rose petals to toss over the bride and groom after “I do”)

Floral altar ideas & aisle flowers
Some close up samples of an actual floral altar set up at Ho’omaluhia. This is the Kahua Nui ceremony location, the spot we use most often for wedding ceremonies in the gardens. On the left we did a full floral backdrop and on the right two large floral baskets. If you’d like to do an arrangement similar to this, please let us know in the floral form (above). Pricing will vary depending on the size/scale of the florals and the type of florals you choose. These types shown below (more traditional Hawaiian florals) are sturdy and hold up well, they’re also tall and brightly colored which looks nice against all the greenery in the mountains. Pricing will vary between $400-$1000 (generally).
orchid Aisle Flowers
Another fun way to personalize your wedding ceremony is to add some florals to create an aisle. We can do a white or purple floral scatter to create an aisle way for $250. Florals are picked up fresh on the morning of your wedding and set up for you before you walk down the aisle. We will also pick up the florals at the end of the ceremony to dispose of them for you. If you didn’t want to do the aisle, we could also do a large orchid scatter in the area where the altar would be.
