LANIKUHONUA - Florals and Decor

There are lots of options on how you can personalize your Secret Island wedding. Please take some time to look over this page in detail before filling out the “Florals & Decor Questionnaire”. Also, don’t worry about completing this step until your planner has asked you to.

Options to Personalize your LANIKUHONUA wedding Ceremony …

1.   Wooden Mahogany Chairs for guests with beige padding or/and Small 30” Table (table can be used for the sand ceremony, to place photos, a guest sign in book, or used as a spot to sign your marriage license).

- $8.50 USD per chair
- $50 USD for a 30” round table with linen
+$100 flat set up fee for chairs (and table)

2.   Add a Beach Wedding Arbor:
- Wedding Arbor (with fabric draping, choose color of fabric to personalize)
- Florals for Arch (2 large corner floral pieces to match bouquet, or large floral arrangement across the top)
- Cost will vary depending on the look you are going for. It is helpful to find photos that you like and send your planner a link. She will help you create a beautiful ceremony arch with the florist. Set-up and delivery is included.

3. Add Aisle Flowers:
- Small clusters of florals can be added to the chairs that line the aisle (usually this is 6-8 small clusters designed to match your theme and colors. Aisle florals can be on hooks or tied to chairs.
- Set-up and delivery included. Cost varies depending on qty. and style. Ask florist to match your bouquet :)
Note: All flowers yours to keep (you can use these to decorate the dinner location or your room, OR give to guests/parents (arch florals, aisle florals)

4.  Add Hand Picked Flowers in your vine aisle: ($100)
- Add flowers to line the aisle at your ceremony. We will place flowers on the sides of the aisle (white orchids)

5. Add a Half or Full Scatter of White Orchid Aisle: ($150 half or $250 full)
- Cover your aisle in a full scatter of white orchids. See sample photo below.

6.  Add a Floral Circle: ($500)
- Add a large floral circle on the sand for you to get married in.  This is usually done in place of an arch and can be a simple but pretty way to dress up the beach ceremony.  Floral circle is made up of large tropical flowers.  See sample below.

7. Add a Bouquet & Boutonnieres. A bridal bouquet and bouquets for her bridesmaids plus boutonnieres for all the men is a pretty way to dress up your wedding ceremony. We can have our florist design the bouquet to match any inspiration photo. Prices will vary depending on the type of florals, size and design. We will get you a custom quote.

8. Add a Haku Lei for the bride, bridesmaids and flower girls - or just the bride! A Haku Lei is a handmade floral head lei designed by the florist to match the bouquet(s). See sample photos below for inspiration. Cost will vary depending on the size, type of florals and design.

9. Wrist Corsages for moms and grandmothers. A wrist corsage is a custom floral piece designed to tie onto the wrist with a ribbon. Mothers and grandmothers usually love these. I don’t have any sample photos but they’re really pretty and designed to match the bridal bouquet.

10. Tossing Petals. Your wedding package already comes with one bag of tossing petals these are used to toss in the air after you say “I do” and look really pretty in photos. They are also a lot of fun. You can add in extra tossing petals for $25/bag.

* Please fill out the Floral Decor Questionnaire form below if you are interested in adding any additional wedding florals because the florist does book up quickly. Once the form is filled out and submitted we will work with the florist to get you a custom quote. You can decide what you do and do not want once you receive the custom floral quote.

** Already included (at no cost) is a vine aisle and Best Day Ever sign.

LANIKUHONUA florals and decor - Photos & Ideas

Wooden Padded Chair ($8.50/chair)

Simple Set up - This couple decided to do the wooden chairs for all guests, plus white orchid leis (one for each guest draped on the backs of the chairs), a simple orchid aisle, plus a simple 2-post custom wedding arch with fabric draping and florals. This is the ceremony location at Lanikuhonua where your wedding will be.

Floral arch and aisle flowers

Some close up samples of an actual floral arbor set up at Lanikuhonua. This is the location where the ceremony is usually held and shows you how it would look if you were to add in a floral arch and chairs. This couple also did white orchid leis for all guests. The leis were draped over the ceremony chairs.

Sample Wedding Arch with Florals (close-up of the floral arrangement). Florals are designed custom to match your bouquet.

Mini Aisle Flowers

This is another way to personalize your wedding. The couple above did not add in aisle flowers but they are a sweet way to add some florals to the ceremony (that is also cost-effective). Aisle Flowers are tied to hooks along the aisle or on the sides of chairs. We suggest doing a minimum of 6 aisle flowers, 3 on each side of the aisle. You may add more if you’d like. Pricing will vary depending on the style and type of flowers you choose.

Floral arches are set up right before your wedding by a professional floral designer. He will carry in in the wood and secure into the sand. He will set up and drape the fabric of choice and add in the floral arrangements to the corners of the arch securely. After the ceremony you may take the florals with you or if you do not want them we do donate flowers to the Senior Care Homes around Honolulu. You can read more about that service here.

We always bring our Best Day Ever sign and will place it on the side of the ceremony, guests will see it as they walk in.

Hawaii tropical bouquet

The petal toss! A fun way to celebrate after you say “i do”. Your package already comes with one bag of rose petals. If you’d like to add in extra petals please let us know. This photo shows two bags of petals. The couple also used the petals for the flower girls to toss as they walked down the aisle.

Grooms boutonniere, pinned from behind onto the suit jacket. The boutonnieres work best when pinned into a thicker fabric like a jacket (loose fitting fabrics like an Aloha shirt) do not hold a boutonniere up well. Boutonnieres are designed to match the bridal bouquet and are about $20 each.

The classic bridal bouquet, this bouquet would be more of a standard size and about $250.

The classic haku leis with a tropical floral mix

Bride & bridesmaids bouquets (these bouquets use Protea florals and are larger so they would be more expensive $250-$300)

Wooden 2-Post Arbor with fabric draping and florals

All white classic bridal bouquet

Tropical bouquet with matching haku lei

Petals come in a multi-color and may be mixed colors of pinks, reds, whites, sometimes peaches and yellows. If you prefer all white or all pink let us know and we can see what we can do, there may be an additional cost. All petals must be picked up after the toss and we handle this for you.

Wooden Arbors - (1.) Hexagon all white (2.) Hex dark wood (3.) 4-post dark wood (4.) 2-post simple wood and (5.) triangle arbor

(Note: The 2 post simple wood arch is most frequently used and the quote we will get for you first, if other styles are preferred let us know)
