A few of our Favorite Brunch or Lunch spots

Here is a list of our favorite spots to take your guests out to brunch after your Ho’omaluhia Wedding. Most couples will do brunch or lunch right after the morning ceremony. Some will also do a formal dinner later or break, rest and meet up later for dinner (instead of going straight to lunch). It’s up to you, but here are some great options to consider if you’re planning on taking your guests out for a nice lunch around 11:30 or 12 noon.


Top Spots for Brunch / Lunch

in Waikiki / Honolulu

  1. Bar Podmore - Upscale, fun Brunch and incredible Cocktails, reservations required, better for smaller groups or couples (note: closed on Mondays & Tuesdays)

  2. Herringbone Waikiki - Open air, lovely ambiance, good food and drinks, a good spot for group brunch, lunch or dinner.

  3. Orchids Waikiki - Ocean front views, incredible food and drinks and top notch service, free validated parking, good for larger groups or smaller intimate delicious meals.

  4. Deck - Located on the rooftop deck of the Queen Kapiolani hotel, this spot has the best Diamondhead view, a fun atmosphere with lively music a full bar and yummy brunch, a bit more laid back and not as fancy, but definitely a spot to have a good time that is reasonably priced and a wonderful option to consider for a larger group.

  5. Plumeria Beach House - Located at the Kahala Hotel, this restaurant has excellent service, ambiance and a stunning view, it’s the perfect place for an anniversary lunch, dinner or special date. Validated parking, relaxing and romantic atmosphere.

  6. Hau Tree - Casual beachside dining located in the Kaimana Beach Hotel on the far end of Waikiki past the Zoo. Hau Tree is known for their outstanding brunch, delicious cocktails, and a fun laid back atmosphere. Request a beach table because it’s literally right on the beach. Good for intimate meals and small to medium groups.

  7. Hula Grill Located right above the popular Dukes Waikiki, this spot is a bit more intimate and has amazing food. Open for brunch, lunch and dinner. It’s great for groups and offers oceanfront views and a fun atmosphere that still feels tucked away and private. Go down to Dukes later for live music and more cocktails.

in Kailua / Kaneohe

  1. Goen Dining & Bar - This is a great pick if you want to stay on the Kailua side of the island. Goen has open-air seating and a fun chic vibe. The food and drinks are are excellent and they can accommodate small to medium sized groups. There is also lots of parking and it’s easy to get to from Ho’omaluhia.

  2. Formagio Kailua - Italian tapas, steaks, and pastas paired with good wine, in a great location, close to Ho’omaluhia. Private dining options available for groups.
